Don’t Be A Stranger…
J.A.W. Cooper was born in England, grew up in Kenya, Sweden, Ireland, and Southern California, and currently lives in smelly smelly Los Angeles. Cooper's parents were freshwater ecologists and it is no surprise that an interest in the natural world is central to her artwork.
Cooper works commercially in advertising for TV and movie campaigns to keep her challenged and fulfilled working as part of a larger team. In her "free time" Cooper is an illustrator/fine artist and a profoundly creepy, solo-camping, feral woman."
Do not feel the least bit bad if you do not know how to address J.A.W. Cooper – she knows that her name is confusing as fuck – please feel free to call her simply "Cooper" or "Hey you there lurking in the bushes."
